Wheel thrown porcelain vessel with hand carved waterlily motifs and hand sculpted heron. Airbrushed underglazes fired to maturity in an oxidation kiln. These waterlily pieces keep reoccurring in my work, reflecting long meditational days working in the studio. The heron or egret symbolizes long life and as well as purposeful watchfulness. An excellent huntress, the heron rarely goes hungry, Signed and dated.
