Wheel thrown porcelain vessel with hand modeled Raven with corncob legs ( yes each kernel was individually formed by hand!!). Airbrushed matte glazes fired to maturity in an oxidation kiln.
This piece is all about the metamorphosis to the Fall Harvest Season,. The corn plays its part here providing Balance to the piece. The Raven stands well with corn, and reminds us that Fall is here and the ravens will have their way. Truly pure sculpture, this is a piece that I very much enjoy making....the challenge, is in Balance. Balance is a necessary practice both in art and in life. Limited Edition.
