Wheel thrown porcelain tea with hand incised morning glories and hand modeled bluebird on the lid. Airbrushed matte glazes fired to maturity in an oxidation kiln. Sculptural nonfunctional tea. Signed and dated. *** does not include the granite stand!!

For many years I worked out of a studio covered by blue morning glories. Such a happy place. I did a whole series celebrating them and added the blue bird for happiness. Many years later I revisited the design in my studio here in Oregon. It's a complicated piece but I loved the making of it and the outcome. I may be doing more of these in the near future, but for right now this is the first in many years.
